Welcome to PPD

We followed our Personal Progress Development subject during last two years. We studied lot of things regarding academic in normal lectures. But we earned lot of things to our personal life in our PPD sessions. We had in class activities, Out door activities, out bound training programs,  out side visits, visiting lectures and etc.                                                               I Got It....... It is very helpful for my future   Life.     

On the 9th and 10th ,we (first year and second year students of Software Engineering) went to Outbounding training to Trincomalee Navy camp with the guidance of 3 lecture including our Sarasi madam.         DAY 01(09/12/2017) On 9th morning ,we started travelling at 3.30 am in two buses..both first and second years were in the bus.Our bus stopped in Kandalai river.There we could see the beautiful river in one side of the road and green paddy field in other side.There we took some fresh air ,  we took some photos and then started our journey back. We reached Trinco at 10.30 am,There we  were provided with accommodations. Then we were given time to get ready. then we got ready and took our lunch there.After that our training activities were started. As an undergraduate of Software Engineering degree program, in near future we have to spend a professional life.So we will be able to participate into conferences, clients meetings, top board meetings, professional parties and etc.  So we have to learn on how to sit for a dinner/ lunch, how to behave in a table, how to wear professional dress code for office and parties. In some times it is a puzzle to select suitable dress code for a party. So we could over come with those problem after participated to the Hotel School table ethics session. Representing hSenidMobile Company cam a Software Engineer and HR manager to share their experience and knowledge with us. In early there was communication with people.                               The Purpose Of  Life                                                                     Our first and foremost commitment is to do seva (service) in the world.  If there is fear in your life, it is because of a lack of commitment.  If there is confusion in your life, it is because of lack of commitment. The very thought I am here in this world to do seva (service),  dissolves the i and when the i dissolves, worries dissolve.  Seva is not something u do out of convenience or for pleasure.  The ultimate purpose of life is to be of service. An uncommitted mind is miserable. A committed mind mayexperience rough weather but will reap the fruits of its toil.  When you make the service your sole purpose in life,  it eliminates fear, brings focus in your mind anpurposefulness,  action and long term joy and may be short term problems!               Live the Life You Want to Live Live the life you want to live, rather than the one you have to live.

                        The Expert Game We were divided into several groups and each team had 5 people. Miss advised us to describe other followers about their expertise on some area for 3 people.  In my team there was me, Siyam, Lakshan, Chirantha,Ruwan. Lakshan, SIyam and Chirantha share about their expertise.                                              Lakshan  described about football, how he was expert in that field. he playing to university team and his past how he learnt it and the rules about the game. And he shared the money a football player earns per year and how they earn through advertisements.                        Chirantha described about business and how it should start and how it should be. The initial plan and the commercial matters. What things have to be done to make it better and famous. He was more focused on the profit as the management is really interested about making huge profits.
